snow sculpting in between sleds.
The ceremonial start to the iditarod was held today! I am greatful for sunglasses as i got all teary thinking how cool it was for my kids to have the chance to see it. sappy i know.
Dad?
As previously posted jace is obsessed with dogs, needless to say he was in heaven!
mike took this picture, the track the dogs are on is just some snow plowed into the middle of the street. i think we were on cordova street. it's called a berm.

We went too. Many you got some up close photos. I'm not so good at taking pictures. So much fun! Did you guys go see the free train exhibt? My kids loved it. We also sqaw the snow sculptures.
Um I really should proof read that was supposed to say "Man, you got some up close photos!" and "We also saw the snow sculptures"
What a cool thing to see! Something that I'll mostly likely never see. I love the pictures of Jace in his puffy little snowsuit. Cute kid!
I meant to write, "Cute kids!"
I am quite jealous, Jeff has been on call the last two years and we have missed it. I told him come hellfire or brimstone, we're goin' next year so you'll have to give us directions where you were exactly. We loved the Fur Rendevous races last year, oh and that little Jace is too cute for words!
I'm soooo glad you guys went!! Awesome!!
I am laughing because that picture looks just like Dad. I showed all the Boyle, Goodwine clan today at Sunday dinner and they all got a pretty good kick out of it too. There were trying to figure out who the rider looked like. Vee Carol got the most votes.
That is a pretty neat thing to witness.
How fun! What a good experience.
haley- never thought dad and vee carrol looked alike. we should call him vee.
Wow! That is so cool and what an experience you guys are having there!
I bet your kids lasted longer than mine did. I'm going to steal some pics, ok?
Too fun. Love the little dog booties.
I need to correct myself. We all thought that the male rider looked just like Dad. Mom thinks that the female passenger looks like Vee.
Did you ever think in a million years that you would witness an event like that? I would have teared up too...
The Iditarod? So cool! Yet another perk to living in Alaska.
That is so cool! What a neat thing to witness. You guys will never forget your Alaska experience. It's good to see you treasuring it so much!
i zoomed in on vee carol and i have to say it looked exactly like dad. i've always thought there is someone out there in the world that is our mirror image...i guess we found dad's. you've found yours too, she is just four.
What an amazing experience!
