the real definition of "chilaxin'" by the way who ever came up with combining words like that needs a time out.
jace on one of his "lides"
he looks terrified, but i promise it is pure glee.
you can faintly make out the different blocks of ice they used to carve this bear/slide.

animal band this one took 5th or 7th place in the multiple blocks fantasy competition
a little weird, gothic, and busty .... yes, but totally amazing as well.
I think this one won first place in the multiple blocks realistic division
This awesomeness was carved from one block of ice, as you might guess it one the single block competition.
uncle geoff got really buff while he was in iraq.
these are the sled runs lit up at night. we went several times on sleds and just our bottoms. the sled was so fast, we hit jumps at the bottom, i had several heart attacks that night.

another view of the sled run! we laughed, kids cried, and spilled hot chocolate. and we had the best spring break in -15 degree weather. thanks geoff and annelisa! What wicked awesome memories we've made!

That looks like so much fun! Glad you had a fun time visiting with your family!
Wow! The sculptures look awesome! The ice slides look fun. I've never heard of such things probably because they would never last in Vegas. lol How long are you guys in Alaska for?
You're pictures turned out better then mine. We loved it and it looks like you did too. So much fun. If you gotta have spring break in the cold you might as well do something fun like ice slides etc. We also went to the hot springs not realizing the kids couldn't go in. Rats! Oh well they played in the hot tub and had fun.
that looks like so much fun...my kids have had one snow storm this year that melted by 2pm...they are missing the snow. it was so awesome to see you on th webcam, thanks for calling. love ya
All that ice and no Pepsi Free?
Thanks for a great weekend! We had lots of fun. I posted the recipe you asked for on Grandmas Cafe. We will see you next month!
That looks like a total blast! Wow the sculptures are amazing too. Great "Spring" break!
That looks like so much FUN! I'm really jealous. We miss you guys. Tyler has told me twice (out of nowhere) that he likes his friends here but he "really does miss Austin". I told him we should write him a letter. I'll get to that, I promise.
Where do you guys want to live? I'm just thinking you should go to Montana...
Aren't the carvings awesome! We used to go every winter when Haakon's family lived in Fairbanks but haven't been in a while. I also remember many "busty" women in some of the sculptures. heh heh So impressive though. We loved the slides too! Cool fun!
Looks like fun! And it makes me really cold. I love the picture of you and Jace going down the slide. He's such a cutie!
Wow - that is so cool! Fun, fun - thanks for sharing!
